Internet users in China reached 384 Million. Mobile users increase of 120 million users.

The China's netizens reached the 384 million in the 2009, with an Internet penetration rate at 28.9%, slower than the previous year ( +41,9 %).

This is the Chinese Internet scenario presented yesterday into the "25th China Internet Development Statistics Report"  by the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC)

In the same time, China mobile phone users are increased of 120 million, a result strictly connected with the mobile phone Internet access and just started 3G services.

Also interesting the China's broadband penetration, that reached 346 million people, increased of 76 million compared with 2008. In addition, the size of Internet users in rural areas has continued to grow, reaching 106.81 million, the 27.8% of total netizens, an increase of 26.3%.

But how and where Chinese netzens use Internet?

83.2% of Internet user chooses access at home, while 30.2% at office, to listen music (83.5%), read network news (80.1%) and use search engines (73.3%).

Business transactions have the fastest-growing with an annual average growth rate at 68%. Among them the online payments (+80.9%) ranked first, travel booking (+ 77.9%), Financial and Corporate Stocks (+67.0%), Online Banking (+ 62.3%) and Online Shopping (+45.9%)

In the 2009 online shopping market transactions reached 250 billion of Yuan (25 Billion Euro).

As we have seen from the data, China's consumptions on Internet are showing rapid growth.

However, between the United States and the Chinese netizens there are still big differences: proportionally, the U.S. Online consumers are almost three times that Chinese. This demonstrate how China on line growth and consumptions have more space.
