Yomiuri TV first to broadcast live from Expo site

Yomiuri TV broadcast a live program via satellite at the Expo site yesterday morning, becoming the first foreign media to stage a live program at the Expo site. 

The program, "Wake Up," is one of the TV station's major news programs. Program producer Junko Oizumi and the Shanghai-born singer Wu Huimin co-hosted the program. 

The two hosts introduced Expo 2010, Japan Pavilion and China Pavilion in front of the two pavilions during the live program. 

More than 20 TV crew entered the Expo site before 5am thanks to the help of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination.   (Link)
